The BM10k is the exciting curtain raiser to the Brighton Marathon, which will see thousands of people running 10K along the first part of the Brighton Marathon route on Sunday 9th April 2017.
The race will start at 8.30am ahead of the Brighton Marathon start at 9.15am, so Preston Park will be buzzing with participants for both events and thousands of spectators. See below for more information about the event!
The BM10k is just one part of the Brighton Marathon Weekend, an event that also encompasses Brighton Marathon, The Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races and the Brighton Marathon Exhibition.
Why the BM10k?
The BM10k is one of the UK's best new 10k races! With a stunning backdrop of the sea in one of the country's most vibrant cities, the race allows you the chance to experience the amazing atmosphere of Brighton Marathon Weekend!
The course is fast and flat and was the second fastest in 2014 for both male and female British athletes in the UK. Starting in Preston Park with entertainment, warm-ups, music and amazing crowd support, the route winds through the city streets before finishing on the spectacular Brighton seafront.
At the finish, enjoy the Beach Village where all marathon and 10k participants can meet their friends and family and enjoy food, drink and live footage on Brighton Beach! Find out more here.
Also happening over the course of Brighton Marathon Weekend are the fantastic Mini Mile Races, which are staged the day before. Thousands of children will run a one mile distance at Preston Park, which is where the marathon starts. Entries open soon!
The Brighton Marathon Exhibition takes place on the Friday and Saturday before the BM10k. Here you can find lots of your favourite running, sports and fitness brands plus plenty of last minute bargains and the latest ‘must have’ products. You can even book yourself a pre-race massage with Body Rehab, and don’t forget to check out our expert seminars with some of the country's favourite athletes and running experts.
